Astronomy Star Parties
Star Parties are weekend or week-long camping setups where amateur astronomers can set up their equipment for days at a time without having to take them in and put them out again, or have to realign them every night.
Sometimes vendors of astro-goodies show up, and there are always camaraderie and socializing, plus talks and demonstrations of interest to the community.
